Designing net-zero multi-generational housing.

Since September 2022, the team has collaborated with Kitchener Waterloo Urban Native Wigwam Project (KWUNWP) to conceptualize a two-story wood-framed residential home on 57 Broadview Avenue in Kitchener, Ontario. KWUNWP has acquired numerous properties through government funding; however, these properties fail to align with their vision of improving the quality of life for Indigenous families through their homes.

The Warrior Home team's mission for this project is to provide affordable housing that guarantees a higher standard of living. To achieve this, they are utilizing passive house strategies and prefab construction methods. The resulting 3-4 bedroom, 3-bathroom home on 57 Broadview Ave will offer ample light, space, safety, and access to amenities, ensuring the comfort of the Indigenous family at an affordable price.

The Warrior Home team aspires to bring this concept to life through construction in the near future.
